On October 10, 2024, we are celebrating a very special new opening in the Rathaus Galerie Essen – Woolworth is opening its doors! 🎉 With the new opening in the center, there are now eight Woolworth stores in Essen! You can look forward to a wide variety of products at reasonable prices – from household goods to clothing and toys, there is something for everyone.

Immerse yourself in a fascinating world full of nostalgia and visions of the future! From April 13 to 20, 2024, the piazza of the Rathaus Galerie Essen will be transformed into an impressive steampunk world.

• Opening on Saturday, April 13 at 3:00 pm: Join us for the steampunk adventure with a cozy picnic for all participants on the bench under the tree.
• Daily from 10:00 – 20:00: Discover all four booths, each presenting unique aspects of steampunk culture. From mysterious laboratories and historical newspapers to innovative technologies – there is a lot to discover here!
• Active acts from 15:00 – 19:00: Admire breathtaking demonstrations, including spectacular high-wheel rides, impressive rocket launches and a journey into the depths of the ocean with the Nautilus.
